For 2019 we have a great new range of wheels for you. We have taken our brand new Aero carbon fiber rim and paired it with your choice of quality DT Swiss hubs. In this 50mm deep variation, you will have a great all-around wheel for those who want to dominate all aspects of road cycling.
Our new Aero rim is based upon our highly popular Fast and Light rim. Our Fast and Light wheels were great sellers as they combined affordability, lightweight, stiffness, and strength in one nice aero tubeless package. When we were planning our new Aero rims, we knew we wanted to keep those qualities but have a lighter wheelset.
We achieved our goal of lightening the wheelset. We saved around 100g per wheelset. To do this, we had to change our carbon fiber layup. In our FL wheels, we used Toray T700 carbon fiber in their construction. To keep the great FL qualities and lower their weight, we had to mix the T700 carbon with T800 carbon fiber.
We also looked at the brake track and had managed to increase the heat toleration of our rims. Our FL series of rims could tolerate 240°, and our new Aero rims can cope with 300°.
You can then pick from two quality DT Swiss hubs. You can choose the lightweight 240S or the more affordable 350S hubset. Whichever hubset you select you can be sure of getting a high quality sealed bearing hub that has an instant drive system.
To lace your choice of hubset to our carbon fiber rims, we use Sapim CX-Ray spokes. The aero CX-Ray spokes are a great mix of lightweight and stiffness, just like our rim.
To finish this package off, we offer you a two-year guarantee on all our wheels.
Features
Wide Rim Tech
25mm rim wide creates a better, more stable support, while the shape of the tire and rim together creates regular, stable air flow, in short, more aerodynamics, less attrition. provides an ideal basis for 25/28mm tires, the sizes currently popular.
2-Way Clincher Tubeless. Tubes or No-Tubes
Use either traditional tires with tubes, or tubeless tires without tubes. Tubeless tires can provide lower rolling resistance and better protection from punctures.
Sapim CX-RAY As light as a titanium spoke
The CX-Ray still receives the best results in fatigue testing of any spoke. The CX-Ray aero spoke combines excellent aerodynamics with low weight and great strength. Not only are they more aerodynamic, they also make wheels lighter and stronger. Its unique strength and flexibility make the CX-Ray suitable for most bicycle disciplines. CX-Ray spokes are used by top bike racers and triathletes around the world.
UCI Approved
This wheelset has been certified and approved by the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale), for use in UCI sanctioned road races.
